Our Online business is a key strategic business unit within the company, with significant growth ambitions over the next 3 years. 

This role will business partner the Online Director in financially managing the delivery of turnover and become their trusted business advisor. You will work with them and the wider Online team to financially manage and influence all aspects of the business performance.  


Key Role Responsibilities 

  • Working with the Online Director & their SLT you will:
  • Develop your knowledge of a complex business unit to enable you to influence strategy and plans whilst delivering committed business outcomes
  • Manage and communicate weekly financial performance updates, key drivers of performance and actively utilising your commercial acumen to challenge financial and non-financial results
  • Manage the forecasting process for budgets, define the timetable, engage and challenge on headwinds and initiatives. Deliver a robust submission and present the story in a clear and compelling manner
  • Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes and influence the delivery
  • Manage the creation of business cases, presenting and gaining approval at governance forums
  • Manage the tracking of implemented initiatives to ensure the benefits track in line with expectations to ensure we maximise the value from the investment
  • Drive improvements in ways of working across the Finance & Online teams; simplifying and automating performance reporting, streamlining processes, transitioning reporting activity to Infosys
  • Own & continuously improve the Online period pack, ensuring the financial and operational metrics accurately communicate the performance of the business unit.

 
 
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships whilst influencing and challenging stakeholders to deliver improved business outcomes
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of complex business areas, skilled in identifying opportunities 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex messages in a compelling manner 
  • Results focused with a track record of delivering end to end solutions in high-pressure environments
  • Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Organisational skills, capable of meeting deadlines while maintaining focus on attention to detail
  • Strong financial modelling and system skills including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Degree or Equivalent in relevant field
  • Recognised Accountancy Qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
